Both are nice bikes, but personally since so many peolpe have bobs, I'd go with the 2010 Wideglide with swap out with 14" or 16" apes, custom solo seat, pipes, intake, and your done.
Hey, I say Bob because I own one, but ride them both before you buy. How comfortable you feel sitting on it is not neccessarily how you will feel on the road. I contemplated the same 2 bikes in September...Now if you are looking @ 2010's here's my thoughts when shopping. I preferred the drag bars & the side mount plate on the Wide Glide. I preferred the short fender & the extra brake light on the Bob (safety reasons-not looks). I ride solo & always will, if someone needs a ride they can get their own bike. So I liked the solo seat on the bob compaired to the sissy bar & 2-up seat. But after I took them both for a spin...it was Bobber all the way!
LOL…… I personally loved the bobber style of my Nightster and was drawn to the Street Bob. Not to mention that I’m 5’6” and can’t do forwards. I can touch the ground equally on either bike though.
The Wide Glide isn’t anything to sneeze at. I can’t say that I don’t agree that Street Bobs are far more common. I can’t say that I’ve run across too many Wide Glides on the street, but I’ll see other Street Bobs all the time.
I’m not sure I would let a message board steer my decision. Go with what makes it happen for you!
I will be visiting the dealer again later next week to see the two bikes side by side and will let you know my decision. Thanks for all your comments. Really appreciate.

I was in this same situation this past week when I traded in my '09 Iron, so I test rode a SG Custom, a Street Bob and a Wide Glide. Before I rode each one the Street Bob was in the #1 position based on looks but after riding them I pulled the trigger on the Wide Glide. You won't be disappointed either way you go.
In 06 I had a choice of an 06 streetbob or an 05 fxdwgi w/exhaust for the same price. I picked the wide glide because it was more finished(pipes, 2-up seat, forward controls, more chrome, and roomier). Now, I am still glad I picked the wide glide, even though some of my friends have nice streetbobs.
