I paid $13000 out the door for my super glide. Look at the costs for the comparable metrics. Vtx and roadstar motorcyles are right around that price, if not more. Why pay that for a motorcycle that is made to look and sound like a harley when you can buy the real thing? You are never going to get all the money you spend on accessories or mods back, buy em cause you like em. That goes for any brand of motorcycle. But the resale value will be higher for the Harleys. Crusteel 45, anytime you roughly double the horsepower on a motorcycle you have to be prepared for that power to break, sheer, or otherwise f-up some parts occasionally. lol I like the yamaha warrior because it wasn't designed to look like a harley. Its unique. If the Japanese companies would make more bikes like it they would probably get a little more respect. But they continue to get away from these type of bikes. For instance, Honda quit making the Valkyrie and Magna motorcycles. To be replaced by what? V-twins made to look and sound like Harleys???? wtf? Unless you have a preference for chromed plastic, buy a Harley.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

there are good points to the HD but all in all it just aint worth the cost
Then it sounds like you bought the Harley for the wrong reasons. If all you're concerned about is winning street races and saving money, you came to the wrong place. You doubled the power output and are surprised something broke? Better fit and finish, not from where I sit. Personally I don't really care for chrome plated plastic. Sell your Dyna and get your sportbike if you're so disappointed.

Hey man you only live once, if you are that disappointed, sell the Dyna. You only live once, do what makes you happy and satisfied.
If you have done all what you say you have done to the dyna you should be able to sell it and have enough money to buy 2 Warriors.

To make things easier for you http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/...0/0/specs.aspx
Theres the link. Around $12,500 is all it will take. You should be able to get almost twice that for the Dyna.

Oh and one more tip, you can take it or leave it, I would never go into a Yamaha, Honda, BMW, Susuki or any other forum for that matter and talk bad about their bikes, and I really think the first mistake you made was when you mistook the Dyna for a CROTCH ROCKET, because the bike is designed for cruising.

Sorry Your Disappointed,
Sell It,
Matrix

Why is it, other than jealousy, that these guys talk so bad about harleys when they have never been on one? I don't understand it.

Whether it's bikes or anything, it's always the cool thing (to some) to hate what's popular.

................. So you gotta know who you are dealing with, be polite and sometimes bite your tongue.
i agree, and it even makes it easier to do with the smugness when you know that in 5 years time most of these guys wont even be near a bike.

This is the kind of crap that ruffles the feathers. SHUT THE F UP and just ride. Don't be so damn opinionated. life is short then you die that's why we all ride. To me I don't care if your riding a damn moped(ok maybe that's a little rediculous...lol) As long as your putting two to the road and enjoying your surroundings it's all good. Sounds like someone has got a complex....Compensation for something in your life unmentioned eh? Like someone said if your not happy then get the F@#k out. You want to kill yourself pushing the envelope then that's your perogative. Me? I just love to enjoy the ride. I had a guy at the local watering whole lay into me about HD Vs. Metric the other day. He said he would never buy an HD until they put out an engine that was worth a damn. I like to go fast too. My superglide is stock and it'll jump to 80 in the blink of an eye. That should be enough for anyone. Here's some food for thought....WTF? would you want to do a wheelie with a 700 lbs bike for? Your simply asking for trouble and a whole lot of stability issues. You want to wheelie?? buy a friggan crotchie. Nothing wrong with owning a crotch rocket and a cruiser. I'd say "who's with me" but i really don't care, it's not about ganging up and fighting each other over which is better. That, in turn, pulls us further and further away from what it's all about. Riding. Freedom. And the open road. Pack that **** in your pipe and smoke it.
