TCSTD posted this... do a search on Smart Siren II he has pic's there as well
arley-DavidsonÂŽ Factory Security System

Here's two links that will show you a typical installation... HERE and HERE

The only security system designed and approved by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. When armed, the Security System disables the starter and ignition while monitoring the electrical system and vehicle motion with adjustable sensitivity. Minor disturbances trigger a momentary warning; major ones an unbroken thirty-second alarm after which the Security System returns to monitoring. A distinctive four-way flasher pattern is the alarm signal. An optional self-powered Smart Siren Kit adds a piercing scream, which sounds even if the battery cable is cut. Harley-Davidson Factory Security System includes Security Module (integrated security, turn signal and bank angle sensor), Remote Control Waterproof Key Fob and Pocket-Sized Operation Manual. An Extended Storage Mode keeps the battery from discharging when the Security System is armed for extended periods of time. 2000 model year vehicles require installation kits (sold separately).

HARLEY-DAVIDSONÂŽ FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM DETAILS

When armed, the Security System disables the starter and ignition while monitoring the electrical system and vehicle motion with adjustable sensitivity. Minor disturbances trigger a momentary warning; major ones an unbroken thirty-second alarm after which the Security System returns to monitoring. A distinctive four-way flasher pattern is the alarm signal. An optional self-powered Smart Siren Kit adds a piercing scream, which sounds even if the battery cable is cut.

The Security System is armed and disarmed with a remote control waterproof key fob utilizing state-of-the-art rolling code technology. If the key fob is not available, the rider may disarm the system by keying a previously entered personal code on the turn signal switches. A flashing status indicator informs the rider that the Security System is armed or disarmed.

When armed in the Transport Mode, the Security System disables the starter and ignition, but monitors only the electrical system, not vehicle motion. The vehicle may be moved, but electrical tampering triggers an alarm.

An Extended Storage Mode keeps the battery from discharging when the Security System is armed for extended periods of time.

The Security System is compatible with FL Touring models equipped with approved TLE/Ultra Sidecars when the system is configured as described in the SIDECAR OWNER'S MANUAL.

Additional Smart Siren
Harley-DavidsonÂŽ Factory Security System Smart Siren Kit

Add an additional level of security with this battery-operated siren. The replaceable internal battery provides continued security if main battery is disconnected. This high-powered siren has a piercing sound, and has built-in plug-type connector for easy connection to the wiring harness. Kit contains Smart Siren, mounting bracket and additional brackets and mounting hardware.

A Quick Install run down...
The cables are plug and play and keyed so you really have to work at it to mess it up.

1. Remove seat and disconnect battery ground.

2. Remove TSM module and replace with TSSM module (under seat aft of battery)

3. (Optional) Remove right side ECM cover and install Smart Siren II behind ECM mounting bracket

4. Reconnect battery

5. Program unit per supplied instructions

6. Follow "password learn" procedure from DIY section here HD Electrical Diag Manual. (takes 30 minutes)

7. Follow "clearing error code" from DIY section here or HD Electrical Diag Manual

Alternative pay dealer to run Diagnostic Technician software to marry new TSSM to ECM and clear error codes.

Thanx I found it - Soda is right - it is NOT taped to the frame,

And now as if this simple install was not bad enough... the siren will not fit into the "back of the caddy" as indicated.
The cut out seems to be just wide enough to go in the short way - but then it hits the frame.

KILL ME![:@]
