stock exhaust question

stock exhaust question
As soon as I get home I will be installing the thunder header onto my 2010 WG. My question is what do I do about the "valve" inside of the stock exhaust? I was looking through the manual and it looks like there is some kind of flapper vlave in there if I correct (or at least half correct). I asume I get take off the stock pipe, and cable that goes to the valave and just disgreaurd it?

Did you buy a European specification motorcycle? The valve/cable are part of the "active exhaust system" introduced in 2007 for European big twin Harleys and Harleys sold in the USA do not have the "active exhaust."
If you bought a USA spec Harley, ignore that "active exhaust" stuff in your manual - you don't have it.

I just got back from Boston today. If I can drag my *** in the garage tonight I might put it on, if not Ill be waiting until Tuesday (as Ill be incapacitated at the bills game tomorrow watching my team get the crap kicked out of them by indys 2nd and 3rd string)
