Fellas you really gotta do this. It's free and easy and naked jugs are the way to go. The only tough part was a half hour hacksaw on the horn mount that doubles as your motor mount. DO NOT CUT THROUGH YOUR MOTOR MOUNT! I didn't, I'm just saying. Also, as far as relocating horn, I found a sick spot right underneath my battery box and used the same screw that holds the battery box cover down! Easy. Only fab was a bendable piece of steel to mount horn; this was a throw away piece of plumbing from a sink stopper which I bent to fit horn and screw, holes were already there. Really, really easy. Two hours max and absolutely free. Oh yeah, you need to solder to extend your wires back down under your tank and through to the other side.
Done. Bang. I love naked jugs!!!
I recommend you look around for a better piece of steel to make that bracket out of.
As a plumber the way I regularly shortened those things was to flex them a couple of time and they break right off. Be a shame to lose you horn.
Another simple option is mounted to the battery tray, centered in the area below the seat.
I did not cut my bracket off though, kept it for the plug wire, and in case I ever find a horn I like in that spot.
