Sorry, it is not chrome. I bought the T header for it sound. IMO, nothing sounds better, period. I have run short shots, big radius 2-1, long shots and nothing compares to the sound. The performance is great and the quality is better than I expected.

Where is the best place to buy...price wise ? I used to see American classic motors(ACM) under selling everyone . But , I haven't seen them recently .

Yup, I would just wait for a great ebay deal. Thats what I did. Picked up a new Rinehart for $300 shipped. Just be patient.

As for the thunderheader, not my #1 choice. IMO not a good looking pipe unless you are going for a ratty look.

I saw that...The finish is just total **** on it though . I wonder if one would buy the heat shields... would they cover the poor finish ? Or would they let some of it show ?

The heat shields wont cover all of that up and I dont know if you could polish em up or not. Those would be nice for someone looking to wrap or paint. For that price though, Id be looking around to see how much paint or chrome costs.

There is a set for a softtail on there now for $45. Repaint and make a new bracket and beats the hell out of $500.

Brand new bracket from Thunderheader costs $80.
