Sorry, it is not chrome. I bought the T header for it sound. IMO, nothing sounds better, period. I have run short shots, big radius 2-1, long shots and nothing compares to the sound. The performance is great and the quality is better than I expected.

I got mine off Ebay for $200 shipped. Came off a 99, didnt have ports but I was running a PC3 so I didnt need em. Mounted right up to my '07.
I saw that...The finish is just total **** on it though . I wonder if one would buy the heat shields... would they cover the poor finish ? Or would they let some of it show ?

The heat shields wont cover all of that up and I dont know if you could polish em up or not. Those would be nice for someone looking to wrap or paint. For that price though, Id be looking around to see how much paint or chrome costs.
There is a set for a softtail on there now for $45. Repaint and make a new bracket and beats the hell out of $500.
