Derv, they are cool looking mounts did you make them from scratch ?
Yep, I was wonderng what to do with them because I've put some buckhorn bars on the bike. The turn signals wouldn't reach anymore but I never really liked them on the bars anyway, so decided to put them where they should have been in the first place. Thing is, I don't really like the chrome clamp on things, apart from them being quite expensive over here oin the UK.
I bought in some plate Alloy a few weeks back to make up some exhaust hangers for my Son's Honda VTR (VRT over there in the U.S I think) SP1 - there's some a photo of those attached. I had some left over so used that for the indicator brackets - only took me about an hour to knock them up - takes a lot longer to polish them!
Excellent work - wish I had your skills! Can't comment on the finish - I'm the type that needs to see the whole bike and your pics just don't give me a good feel for the overall look.
But I do like the one suggestion to two-tone them. I'd leave the body polished and do black inside the slots.
I've now finished the indicator mounts, so for those who asked to see the finished job some photos attached. As you can see I ended up polishing them and painting the inside of the holes black. Although, I did originally paint them black with the holes left polished, problem with that was it's been so cold here it wasn't really suitable temps for painting. I think I prefered them black, so when th eweather gets warmer I'll take them off again and paint them - or wait until I'm sending some bits off for powder coating and have them done at the same time. Anyway - photos ...........
