So I was looking on craigslist on my Iphone and found a set of forwad controls for a dyna but it came off a 96 and I have an 08. Will they work? I know I should do a search but don't have the time while I'm at work right now. Thanks

I can't say for a Fact that they do, but I'm pretty dang sure they will work. I know the shift linkage and brake rod for forward controls on a 99 and a newer bike are the same...

Dont think the shift rod will work and you still have to diconnect your linkage different set up on the 6 speed

so there are some part number changes on many of the parts if you just compare the chrome ones as the black one will have diff part numbers

But the not sure how much difference there is but looks like i wouldn't chance it unless you knew for sure they would work.

Not to hijack this thread...but does anyone know the length of the shifter rod #11739B? I have all the forward parts but the rod for my 2002 T Sport. I have a 13 5/8 rod from a friends bike, but don't know if it will work. I've seen two lengths and am wondering if the shorter one will hit my primary when it shifts.

Put it on and find out if you have it.
