Motor Mounts
And once someone explains that, why would this help with the motor mounts longetivity?
I personally am more concerned with sideways movement rather than fore and aft. Imagine that as you ride round a bend, the back wheel is pushing sideways on those mounts.
A TrueTrack kit provides the two mounts with stabilizer links that prevent them moving sideways. It doesn't provide any fore and aft support. Bike tracks true and rides and handles far better than stock, even in a straight line, say on a bumpy back road.
Rubber mounts, supported by the stabilizer links, have less strain on them, so should last longer. I have had a TT kit on my Dyna for two years now, although don't do a high mileage so can't comment on a real improvement in longevity. But I am still enjoying the better ride!
Hope that helps!
Steve
