You could ask the seller to have it replaced by the "B" version. If he/she's non co-operative, use the Ebay Buyers protection program and open a case in the "Resolution Center"

I believe Ronn R is right. These are from my friend Andreas, who owns a dealership in Spain. If memory serves, the -06 is the standard '06 inner case. The -06A is used on '07+ and has alignment dowels for IP to Tranny Case. If you're doweled, you don't want to waste your Flux Capacitor stepping back in time to the days of IPB problems, caused by lack of alignment dowels.

I have an 06 WG with a build date of 03/06. Is there any way to tell if I have the cases with the dowels or not without opening them up? I've read that they started using the dowels again half way thru the 06 build year.

I'm not certain, but I think the cast-in p/n is on the tranny side of the IPCase. Might scout out some ebay IPCases for some close-up pix to confirm or disprove this. If it's on the OPCase side (depending on locale), you might be able to see the p/n by "just" removing the outer case. Hopefully it's not located behind the clutch or other innards.
