Default Thinking about sissy bar

Like the title says I'm thinking about getting a sissy bar for my '09 Street Bob.
I don't want one from Harley. I was thinking more of a tall round bar type with a bend or something at the top. Something like what you might see on an old school chopper.
It'll be more for looks than for a passenger. I would like to see any pics and some info from anyone with a sissy bar on their Bob.
Thanks in advanced and, hang in there winter will be over before too long.

I don't have the street bob, but I do use the sissybar on my bike, it is quick detach. Mostly it is used for the travel bag (since my bike lacks saddlebags) The greatest feature is it is quick to install or remove, not gonna add any luster to your bike with it, but it has purpose. Mine is just the standard Harley part, but as you are talking the super tall ones, you might consider getting the standard one and modifing it so that it is detachable (I think you can just buy the docking hardware and side plate and cutom build one).

Looking at the pics would you be putting on a P pad with it? I think that would be the way for the so called old school look!

Mine is ridgid, was on my bike when I bought it used. Great for attaching a bag to and riding 2 up. But I will be changing to a detachable mount. Bike looks so much better without the sissy bar.

A puppy dies every time someone says "old skool". If you just want it for looks and not function, don't do it dude. Sissy bars don't really even look good on a sprung bike, so just having one to make your bike look like something it's not, even lamer.

Here is my '07 SB with the Attitude Stick. It's not real functional, but it looks great.

I built mine so i had something to strap to for long trips... i couldn't find a bag setup i liked at all.

A back pack straps to it like it was designed for it. very nice!
