Glad to see someone else that went from a bagger to a 10 Wide Glide like myself. I decided to add the quick release detach sissy bar with luggage rack. I will only use the detach when I take a road trip otherwise I am going to ride with the solo setup. My first real test for this type of setup will be in June when I ride from Colorado to Utah. Forgot to mention I also have a quick detach shield.
+1 on the hooker. My s/o got one for her Lowrider (stock 2up seat) last weekend and we've tried it out, strapping down a decent size Willie and Max bag. Works great!
She's got saddlebags so she's going to keep the hooker with her at all times, just in case we (she) see something we (she) just have to buy.
And from my view, since she's got a hooker on the back of her bike she can't complain if I put one on mine!
Now thats my kind of thinking! But i think i am going to try and get a hooker (no i wont specify which kind). Right now i am using the the bungy net i got at the HD shop, and I took the water proof cover i had for my old full set of T-bags and put all my essentials in it and rolled them up. Placed it on her back fender and put the bungy net over and it looks good and seems to hold pretty well.

that's what i did for a long time, cargo net and a weather resistant backpack.
Here a 'Bikers Friend' type bag, with a small CD/Camera type bag on behind. (good for rags, camera, sunglasses etc,etc )
The Bikers Friend type is small but handy for short runs and overnighters..
As posted earlier mounts great on a Motherswell rack..
(edit) Should point out, It doesnt mount to the Motherswell, but the Motherwells is great for holding off paint.
I've used an expandable magnetic tank back stuck to the rear fender of my dyna when I have the solo seat on. It will also stick to a rack like the motherwell, which works better 'cause you don't have to worry about scratching your paint. I put my bike into a ditch with that tank back on the fender rack (just stuck on with the magnets) and it didn't budge.
