Default Luggage issues

Ok, i just went from a bagger to a 10' Wide Glide, and my wife went to the 10' Street Bob. I hope this isnt a repost, but anyone have some good suggestions on luggage? Im not putting a backseat or sissy bar on her S.B. and not changing anything on my WG. Any body have good reports on some good roll bag type luggage? Also leaving mine windshield-less, so i am open to the roll bags that mount there if anyone can tell me they are worth a hoot.

are you going with solo seats or keeping the two up seats? Willie max makes a little pcs that goes under your seat called a Hooker neat little set up for $20 bucks gives you 4 d rings to strap a bag behind you with out a sissy bar on a two up seat i used one for a while until i got my sissybar set up.

here is a picture of it, its great for a two up seat where you don't want to hook a cargo net to the bike anywhere but want to go on longer trip and hook down a bag or just some leathers for the day etc.

will have to look into those for sure. On mine it comes with the little back seat, on the S.B. though it doesnt come with a back seat, i am thinking of putting a mustang fastback seat on it for her to help her back and that would solve the issue and i could use one of those..but for now on hers i am very limited besides nets and bungy straps on a roll bag.

bikersfriend! has backrests, does not require a luggage rack, many options in sizes and mounting.

If you stick with a solo seat on the SB you could put a fender rack on. I have one made by Motherwells (might be able to see it on my sig). Well made and you can bungee stuff or pick up a roll style bag. I have on from T-Bags which works out well.

I'm in a similar situation. Still have my bagger but now that the s/o is on her own Lowrider I picked up an 07 Street Bob. Love the solo look so I don't want a two up seat.

I will be mounting the Motherwell's luggage rack tomorrow. Had one on my 82 FXRS and loved the look. And I'm considering a Mustang Wide Vintage solo with removable backrest for long trips. If I go that route I've still got the look I want around town and can put the backrest in with a Tbag and travel anywhere.

+1 on the hooker. My s/o got one for her Lowrider (stock 2up seat) last weekend and we've tried it out, strapping down a decent size Willie and Max bag. Works great!

She's got saddlebags so she's going to keep the hooker with her at all times, just in case we (she) see something we (she) just have to buy.

And from my view, since she's got a hooker on the back of her bike she can't complain if I put one on mine!

glad it worked out for you Tadd, and if anyone wants one of the hookers id make someone a good deal on one as my buddy just gave mine back the other day and i no longer use it since i have the sissybar and luggage rack.
