I love mine. The only complaint is that they are very close to the oil filler cap - making oil checks a pain. It helps to loosen the heat shield to provide enough clearance to remove the cap.

I've noticed from the pictures that it might be a bit of a pain to get the oil filler cap off. Might be an opportunity for an enterprising individual to pick up a few bucks by designing a dip stick with a taller cap that would be easier to get off. Must be a lot of guys out there with big shot pipes on their bike.
I love mine and get alot of compliments about the sound. I added the quiet baffles for that low rumble and additional backpressure. Beautiful pipes and all dragging of the stock pipes on the right side are gone. No clearance issues.
If you want to remove the old exhaust bracket it's much easier when they are off.
I'm going to go against the grain here a bit and tell you that these pipes are not the easiest install - just a bit awkward because they are bolted together and complete during the install . By no means are they difficult, and you can certainly do it yourself, but much easier if you have a second pair of hands holding up the back while you align the ports.
I've changed my exhaust so many times now that I just stop trying to deal with moving around the stock exhaust flanges and clips. You can buy a new set on ebay for less than $20 shipped (Robs Cycle).
I'm in no way affiliated with Robs - but I know that his prices on odds and ends are as good as anyones - and he ships fast!
The fit and finish of the BSS is tops. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the info Super05. My son lives next door and he likes to wrench so I usually just stand aside and let him have fun. I'm the extra hand when he need one. Gotta love it when you have a terrific son who can turn a wrench. His 09 Ultra Classic is all in pieces now and the tins are at a painter's shop for some bling.

Some advice from a guy who installed these single-handedly (well, actually, I used both hands). Get a box or a few pieces of wood that are about the right height to support the pipes from underneath. Put a rag over the top of it to protect the pipes. line up the pipes with the mounting bracket. then get the nuts on the rear exhaust flange first...loosely...then move to the front. Before you tighten anything down, get the bolts lined up in the exhaust mount and get them loosly attached. Tighten all of the bolts, and then tighten the heat shield clamps.
It was easy compared to some of the other stuff I have tried to under(over)take myself.
Don't the V&H require the installer to reuse the retaining ring and exhaust manifold flange from the stock exhaust? I know the Big Radius I owned did. So he needs snap ring pliers as well!
Yes they do and removing/adding them is the most difficult part if you don't have the pliers.
Still not that bad.
Don't forget to clean the pipes before firing and get some gaskets.
Also keep in mind that if you want to save a few more bucks you can pick up the Python Staggered Duals. Pyton is made by Vance and Hines specifically for Custom Chrome (i believe). They're about 99% the same thing. The only difference is the V&H model has removable end caps. I picked up my Staggered Duals on ebay a year and a half ago for around 350 shipped and they were brand new in the box.
I put the BSS on my Fat Bob, took me about 2 hours but I took my time and actually enjoyed doing it. The fit was perfect and the finish is absolutely gorgeous. I put the quiet baffles in mine and love the sound, loud and deep no tinny sound at all. The instructions that come with it are also very good. I got mine from Dennis Kirk, very happy with them too. The clearance on the oil fill is close but I can still get mine out easily.
Everyone who I know who has V and H pipes runs teh quiet baffles. They are anything but quiet. Every time I ride with my friends (several have these pipes) and I sit behind them I think about swapping my exhaust out yet again.
