Don't know how they handle the road yet, still winter around here. Today was the last step in fitting the bags on the aluminium plates and positioning them right.
Yes they are all hand made, bought the leather, braided them, bought aluminium for the plate and the motifs on the bags. Polished those on the bags and put black gravel guard on the backplates to match the texture of the transmission case.

I made my own aluminium plate that holds onto the front docking screw thingy and the other end onto the flasher docking part. Have joined a picture to show the plate, then I simply screw another thinner aluminium plate (from inside the bag) onto the plate that you see on the picture.
I removed the front docking screw thingys and had a machinist make new ones to solidify the plate so that it wouldn't wobble since it was NOT tight in the docking spaces. Thus the new docking screw looks like the old one with the exception that the there is an exterior nut that pushes a spacer onto the plate to tighten it in place thus not allowing it to move anymore. The little hook on the back is spring loaded and is there to prevent the plate from lifting.
