Default What a difference

Put on my new slip-ons and stage 1 air cleaner and pcv from fuel moto. What a difference it made. Bike runs much stronger and better. Also much more comfortable with the mini apes I put on.

Where did you notice the most improvement? Off the line, mid-range, top end, or all three? I'd like to do the stage 1 myself with the components from FuelMoto but would like to hear more from someone who has done it with their FXDC. Has the fuel mileage changed much?

I only got the pcv from fuel moto. I noticed better performance in all areas. Bike runs much smoother and cooler. As far as fuel mileage I am not sure have only got to ride today because the Illinois weather sucks during winter. I rode about 30 miles today. I was totally impressed with the difference.

I did the same mods -- performance was much improved. Then, I had it dyno'd and gained 5 more hp and 5 lbs torque!

Yeah, factory bikes since mid 80s are delivered with poor power and drivability tune, but decent emissions and mpg tune. Any tuning tool will make a seat of pants difference, even XiEDs. Some riders notice it more than those that just want to ride. There are several ways to put a better tune on the bike, the PCV being one of the simplest methods for most (if you don't mind fiddling with hardware). The TTS provides a better tune, about the same as a dyno, and is simpler than piggybacks if you don't mind fiddling with software. Some piggyback systems handicap the ECU's ability to adapt to different fuels and driving conditions (they just brute forces things), if that matters.
