New one on me. I've used the kill switch on all my Harleys for years and never had an issue. There is logic to it with the new TBW touring models - they have a "memory" for the idle position and if you hit the kill switch while you're holding the throttle open slightly it will "learn" that as the new idle position. So instead of idling at 950-1050 as it should you might end up with an "idle" at 1200 or more. There's an easy routine to go through to reset it an indy taught me. Haven't seen it in the svc manual but haven't looked that hard.

Naturally this doesn't apply to Dynas or any cable-activated throttles.

With the key "off", cycle the run/off switch several times while spraying some contact cleaner in the switch. Let the switch dry out and try the start again, this time run switch to run first then turn on the key and try starting it. Worth a try a real cheap too boot.

just and FYI you don't need to buy the whole pump, I'm almost positive the
fuel lines are available seperately.
The one that usually goes, and usually on softails is the fuel line that goes to the petcock/check vavle.

Check your fuel pump relay fuse +1. If youre turning your switch on, hitting the run button and theres nothing, Id look at that too.
