At 5'11" 290#, a SG is definitely NOT TOO BIG for you. You'll handle it just fine, but it'll weigh more than your Sportster.

What would make you think your to big? From what you wrote, your not a very big guy, and the super glide is not a small bike, so I'm confused? If your looking for something huge, then go with a boss hoss or something.. lol.
I am pretty sure the OP meant that the bike would be too big for him/her!

Thumbs up shorty

I'm 5'9'' and 220lbs. with a 29'' inseam. I put on forward pegs [4''] I thought I was comfortable until I go on a long ride.My legs are so short it was hard to get around the air filter and touch the forward pegs.I had to put on 5'' forward pegs, its a little better but could use another 1''. { always that 1 more inch} anyways everything else was fine. I put on a touring seat for two, its not as wide as some seats but just as comfortable. to each his own, GooD LucK

Dynas are designed to be Harleys version of a standard motorcycle, your personal specs. are well suited for this machine.
