I finally got back on my bike after 3 months off with a broken leg. I had plenty of time to make some mods here and there, but nothing major. Anyway, after reading tons on this forum, I decided to try out a new map for my PCV with Short shots. (Map 018 BUB 7 2into 2 if anyone is looking). Anyway, the first thing I noticed is a lot less engine vibration. Does this make sense to anyone? My bike used to shake the hell out of me at stoplights, but is pretty smooth now (for a Dyna). I haven't really changed anything else that matters except a slightly higher flow filter (Green Filters USA).
I was trying to judge whether the were any difference in performance with the new map, but it has been too long to really tell, but I DO know that there were less vibrations. I also didn't get any popping on decel even when I tried to get some just to see. (Once again - those of you with short shots may want to try this)
Any thoughts? Does the MAP have anything to do with vibrations, or am I just dreaming and still on a high from my first ride in 3 months?

The new map may have raised your idle just a hair, which can make a world of difference in vibration.

I just got a new bike. I started it up several times at the Dealer and it had a little Harley shake. Not as much as My Sporty had but I could feel it. I had them do a complete Stage-1 after that the idle was smoother but I think it's idling faster too.
Guarantee a new (better) map will take some vibration out. I had the HD stage.1 download, and I didn't realize how badly the bike shook, until I installed my TTS. Made a world of difference.
Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't sure if I was nuts or what. To follow up, I tried to get a better map for the short shots from Dynojet, and they don't make those maps anymore. They recommended that I try the Bub7 2-2 map and it works great. No pop on decel, and I think, more power. It feels like its finally tuned. I know that a dyno tune would probably help a bit, but I can wait on it because I feel like I wouldn't see too much performance gains for the price. The bike seems like its running right now and I may try to tweak some things on my own.
Also, I am using a Green filter now http://www.greenfilterusa.com/ and maybe that contributed to what I perceive as a slight power gain. It looks good as an open filter too. Ive posted pics before, but they were crappy cellphone pics.
Either way, I just want to thank you guys here on this forum. I have learned tons and would never have understood as much about my bike as I do now without the experience and expertise on here.
