My air cleaner mod

Not much of a detailed pic . But this is the finished product . I cut the center out of my football last night at work with a die grinder and a cut off wheel . I smoothed out the edges with a Dynabrade . Then I polished everything real smooth with a 90 degree angle grinder with a scotchbrite pad . It took me at most , an hour . Nice , cheap , easy mod .

Looks great but how you gonna connect it??? the inner plastic plate is still a football. at least on my bike.

I would assume that jason has the stage one breather or a similar product that has a round back plate. The cutout will give him an open breather look. If im wrong im sure jason will correct us.

Not to hijack the thread but I'm doing the same mod. I'm looking to replace the 2 rubber breather tubes with something more "stylish" since you'll be able to see them with a open aircleaner. (stage I)
