Which New Evo heads?
I installed a thread repair kit in my cylinder head to repair a blown-out spark plug, and I'm not satisfied with the results so I'm buying new heads. I won't buy used heads because I don't want to risk having the same problem because of a previous owner's heavy-handed spark plug tightening habits. So, my Q is:
What's your opinion on new heads? Since I can get a set of SE's for about $700, that'll be my cap. Any other suggestions? Also, do any of you know if the SE heads are bolt-in replacements for stock 98 Big Twin Evo heads? Will the stock rocker box and rocker box cover fit or do I need to replace those, too? Anything else I should know about switching to SE heads?
Also, are there new aftermarket heads I should be considering, even if they're just reworked stock (new) evo heads?
