I just got my new 13.5" Solo Vintage and the 9" vintage pillion!
Solo is as wide as stock but thinner towards the tank.
Some parts ,under the seat, are more exposed!!
It's made of vinyl but you can't tell.It seems just like leather.
The foam is great. I feel like it has springs inside.I DO NOT feel bad parts on the road that used to give me hard times!
When combined with the pillion it has a basic (and quite nice) back support!
Better than a friend's sundowner i once tried.
Girlfriend told me that the pillion is VERY comfortable. It also, doesnt allow slipping or falling backwards!
It isn't much wider than the rear fender.
It exceeds propably half inch on the right and left.
Before i put it on, i was thinking that it would look awfull...but the result surprised me!
Believe my, Guys, the seats are MUCH better looking than in the company's site!
You can't beat the comfort of the Mustang Vintage. My OL liked the passenger seat until we rented a Fat bob down in FL, now after 500 miles on that stock seat she absolutely LOVES the Mustang....lol
Looks good. A comfortable seat sure makes a difference on the longer rides. After my last PGR Mission with over a 400 mile ride, I finally broke down and ordered a Corbin Gunfighter for my 03 Wide Glide that will be here on Friday. If going the distance, a good seat is well worth the cost over a stock seat. My butt and lower back are no longer young....lol. The new seat will have the same lines as the original but will be a better made seat and customized for my build.
How is the back support with just the solo seat on there? I'm planning on getting the solo and am torn between the lower profile pillion (no one ever rides with me) and the pillion you got. I can see where your pillion would offer some nice back support and as it looks the lower profile pillion doesn't offer any (though i prefer the look of it). Just curious how much back support you get with just the solo.... do you have any pics of the bike with solot and pillion from the side and farther away to get a better full look at it?

I'll upload a couple tomorrow!
There is no BACK support when solo...
It is just that, when you are fully drown back, the ... material...or the shape...i don't know, prevents you from sliding down and forward...on the seat; so the body (kinda) tends to stay upright, instead of making this bad curve on the lower part.
With the pillion SOME nice support is provided...
BUT: Do not expect nothing like the driver's backrest !
Me...I didn't get that ONLY because i intend to install a sissybar to fasten my ruck suck and lean my whole back on it, during long trips
