Bluing would be a bad idea for motorcycle parts which are exposed to moisture, although I admit that it would be awesome. Colt's Royal Blue, maybe some small parts done in color case hardening, or perhaps nitride bluing (fire bluing) for contrast?

Now, what about hard chrome? Anyone ever done motorcycle parts in hard chrome? It can be polished, brushed, or matte, it's durable, and very corrosion resistant while never needing oil, wax, or polish to look good.

I think it would be just fine! Because it becomes sealed..

Just remember with hot bluing (nitride salts) the quality of the bluing job is entirely dependent on the polishing job done before the bluing. Any imperfections will be glaringly obvious. There is such a thing as cold blue but it is nowhere near as durable, and even hot bluing, as previously mentioned, is not very durable and especially not moisture resistant. Basically bluing is a kind of controlled rusting using mineral salts to prevent the rusting caused by O2 we're are all familiar with. There is also another, older method called browning but I have no experience with that other than owning antique forearms done this way that still have nearly all of their original finish. Keep a blued finish clean and oiled and you're in good shape but the bluing doesn't penetrate very deeply so scratches and nicks are still going to be a rust problem.
