Getting ready to install new exhaust, air cleaner and Power Commander V. I was reading the directions for the the PC install and there are plugs that bypass the o2 sensors. Since they will not longer be used I was wondering why I would even install them into my exhaust? Are there dummy plugs that can be put in the exhaust holes? What have you done?
I have the same question, much like you have an exhaust, a/c and pcv on the way. I'm pretty sure my pipes said they come with 'plugs' if you don't have sensors. I was wondering if I should install them to avoid any potential 'law' issues...

You can leave the O2 sensors in, that way you can easily disconnect the PC, reattach the O2 sensors, and diagnose a problem with the PC.
I opted to yank the sensors and replace them with plugs to eliminate the wires. I bought the plugs directly from Supertrapp, but I'm sure that you could find them from any exhaust manufacturer.
I put mine in and left the wires attached. Not sure why i did this now that you brought the subject up. i know j and p sells plugs and they wont break the bank.
I asked the same question about 6 months ago. I asked the dealer that I was at one day if the had the plugs which they have a part number and he said no he would have to order em, and in fact had never sold any so I dropped it at that. Left the plugs in just so it looks like I'm all legit come inspection time.
