my bike is all put together, sitting at my indy waiting it's turn on the dyno.
i know with a new high flow a/c and a proper tune, the sound from my pipes is going to deepen and get a little throatier.
i've been wanting to switch out to BCT baffles, but am wondering if changing the baffles out after getting the bike tuned is a mistake.
is it stupid to have the bike tuned to a certain set up and then change out the baffles in the pipes or is the change not really going to affect anything?
i don't think i'm even gona switch them out...i think the minor things i didn't like about the note of my pipes are going to be hammered out by the tune, the pcV and the new a/c.
they're loud, but loud in that "we haven't hit puberty" sort of way. i think a good tune is gonna get the job done.

usually does... I mentioned this to some guy shopping for the best sounding pipes for his as yet purchased Harley....yeah... I dunno.... I have heard all kinds of pipes... the tune and the engine behind the pipes changes the sound drastically....

I can vouch for this! I liked my big radius stock, but then put in the bct baffles and it made a noticeable difference. Then I did my stage 2 big bore and it made the pipes sound really good. And now after getting my heads ported and a cam swap, these pipes sound even nastier than ever! I would recommend you get the bct baffles installed before the tune.
