Ive tried doing a search on this with negative results. Can someone please advise me on the correct 21" spokes to order? Im lacing them to a stock front 2006 FXDB Hub. I went on buchanan and they have too many that I cant figure out.
If anyone can please guide me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
The spokes you need are part number DS 380139 for chrome or DS 380239 for stainless from Drag Specialties. The spokes say for 19" drop center rim in one place in the book and 21" in another. Regardless they are the ones you need. The chrome are around $50 and the stainless are $150. Hope this helped.
Why does it say the spokes are 8 1/4 and the 21's are 9 3/4? Im confused. I dont understand why I need the same size spokes if I'm going from a 19" to a 21"
Can you please advise the exact part number of what you guys have used, using the same set up I described above. Please?
PM Bobber S. He has his wheel laced up with the same spokes I listed. I'm dropping mine off to be laced tomorrow. He swears they are the right ones. If not I'll let you know.
I have those spokes in hand and you are correct about them being the same length as the stockers. I am sending them back and getting the sportster spokes.
Its all very simple: toss that rim and hub in a big box, mail it to Buchanan, and a week or so later it'll miraculously come back with the proper spokes!
Sniper.....I understand what you are saying, but why would I send all of that to Buchanan and pay all that extra shipping when I know tons of people on here have done this set up?? Someone out here knows what part number they ordered. I sent Buchanan an email a week ago and still no response.
Can someone please just hook a brotha up on the part number?? Please!
