Many years ago I was drilling a pully to put on a home made mini bike. The drill skipped off the pully, wrapped into my jeans and drilled a 1/4 hole in my leg. Put that on the list of things never to do again. It's a very long list!

A very slick job. Been looking at the stock one on my bike, and trying to decide whether I liked it the way it is....for a stock rear brake pedal they're pretty well finished, but if you want to keep a theme going I think you really nailed a good solution.

Looks sharp, good job. I like the stock pedal fine, though.

I changed mine out years ago for the chrome version, but I like your mod. Would go perfectly with my pegs.

Default Maybe we should change this thread to..

Reading all your replys gives me an idea, maybe we should sway this post in the direction of all the stupid sh** we've done while working on things. I noticed in one of my pictures there is a pair of safety glasses on the floor. Well I've been to the eye doctor 3 times in my life getting things dug out of my eyes that arent supposed to be there, like rusted metal! 3rd times the charm I dont so much as cut a board without some sort of eye protection now. Thanks for all the positive comments.

You don't have to use to coarse of a grit for this. I have had good results by using 80 grit with my sander on grind mode. Also, there is a special clear to use that you don't have to prime. That's what fills in the scratches so that they can be painted, candied, cleared, etc...
