Have an '06 Low Rider and have bought HD stuff for it.
SE slip-ons, forward controls, Sundowner seat, tool bag, grips, passenger backrest, etc. I like the stuff and purchased some of it at Zanotti's for the discount price. The mechandise is good quality, but over-priced in my opinion.
Had a gift certificate at local HD dealer and bought a HD Scripted Battery Trim Cover Band yesterday to replace the stock one. It cost around $30 and looks great. It's made of metal and chromed.
First add-on I bought that is definitely worth the price!!!!!
I have a 06 FXDI I installed Bobber bars, 6 1/2 inch headlight, lowered the front turn signals to just under the bottom tree, installed the o6 wide-glide shorter turn-signal stalks on the rear, black powdercoated the derby and point cover, horn cover and black insert in breather cover, also have black night-train mirrors and black levers. The bigger headlight makes the front end look just a tad better, in my thoughts anyway..still out to lunch on what else to do to make it mine..everybody does the chrome thing around here, wanted mine to be just a tad different, planing on some chrome but in rather small amounts, I like the chrome trim for the battery cover, have to study that a little more maybe.[sm=biker.gif]
06 FXDI not a chromahalic but I did get the battery cover band and the Super Glide maddalion for the fuse box cover. No choice on the sissy bar and mounting plates, had to get chrome. Relocated the T signals, Black ceramic exhaust (SE II pros/downslash), black (painted) football insert, Bar and shield grips and pegs Kuryachin shift peg, front fender arrow and bar and shield madallion. Saddle bags with same type madallion. Dule seat (HD's best?). Oh yes Bar mounted tach kit (child of the 60's, what can I say). Looking around for a nice leather bag to hide the smog canister in and my air compressor.
The mechandise is good quality, but over-priced in my opinion.
Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised at the quality/price ratio of H-D accessories and that battery band is a good example. HOWEVER, my personal opinion is that ALOT of it is a bunch of overpriced crap. Consequently, I have begun to back away from it and look closer at aftermarket alternatives...
