I had to get rid of the cheesy brushed aluminum battery band too. I bought the "beefy" script cover too. When my bike was delivered last week, the first thing I did was put on the battery band. Then I put on the chrome license plate holder & clamped on the quick detach windshield. After that I was ready for my first ride.
