My 14" Burly narrows just came in & ought to be perfect. I'm only 5'7" & they put my hands just above shoulder height.
I used to be a total drag bar, "hot street"/performance guy & a apehanger hater, but after riding a FXDWG w/the 10" minis & sitting on a couple bikes with apes, I've seen the light
Next up is to scrape together the $$$ for the FLD floorboard kit....
ETA- buddy bought my '73 Marshall Superbass. Ordering 'boards as we speak...
Ha! Just snagged a pair of pristine '02 FLSTC sliders, complete OEM FLSTC tubes & nice FLSTC front wheel for a tick under $400.
Gonna keep my eyes peeled for a set of FXDWG trees- I know, FXST trees will work, but a) I don't trust myself not to hack it up & b) I have a thing about making my mods appear as subtle/sano as possible.
So... dumb question. I've never been inside a pair of forks before. Can I rely on the FXDWG fork section in my '02 service manual, or.... ?
A quick question guys: Would a 2007 Heritage front end work OK on my 2007 Dyna?
Thanks
With some modification to the lower fork clamp the front end will work. The Heritage, Deluxe and Fatboy all use the same front end. The oddball in there I believe is the 2007 Fatboy which apparently had an offset front fender for some reason. I started with an 07 Fatboy front end setup and swapped the lower sliders from 07 Deluxe to put the fender back on center.

Sure, just will need to do the standard grinding of the rear portion on the lower tree. This provides clearance and will serve as the fork stops. After that, it will bolt right on.

I see that some of you guys have provided an basic yes answer to this question. But has anyone done a How-to on doing this. What parts work best, what mods need to be done and so on. Some people have the mechanical know how but not the insight to whats needed, some just plan want to "see" what their part should turn out like when modifing it.
