103" build?
i got quoted 2100 for a basic se stage 2 kit installed with no dyno time.... also 3700 for a stage 3 and again no dyna time.... these prices seem overly high to me.... any advise?
I assume that includes the ACRs, but still seems high in this market.
I live in Los Angeles area, so there are several dealers within range. I ended up calling three of them and telling them precisely what I wanted done, and that I would supply the parts (Zanottis and Fuel Moto). I explained that I was very price conscious and unless I could get to the price I needed I would pass on getting the kit entirely. I also told them I was very flexible on when they did it...i.e. they could do in slack time. I also indicated I had talked with a couple Indy shops, but that, if affordable, I would rather used a dealer (in my case I knew nothing about the Indy shops, so wanted a dealer in case of future problems, and for resale).
A couple of the dealers weren't really interested in working with me, the third was. They asked was price I was looking for...I said $1000 labor, specifically saying this would include ACRs, plugging in the PCIII, and Dyno. He talked with the mechanic and the service manager, and we finally agreed on a price. I think it was $1,050. ALL the parts were another $1,000.
