Default Need new pipes!

So I'm going to be changing out my Short Shots and soon............

I want to go to a better performing pipe and was hoping to get some input.

thunderheader?
sampsons?
bassani?

Whatcha all think?

I'm gonna order them as soon as I make up my mind and I'm leaning thunderheader but my tuner says sampsons..........

we may have to agree to dissagree

I run Rineharts 2-1 on my Fxdl. BB 95, Cams, gives excellent deep sound and great performance.

Thunderheader , Bassani , or perhaps LSR performance . Can't forget about the D&D fat cat . Any of those pipes will perform better than most pipes on the market .

Are you looking for straight performance or something with a different sound as well as performance?

This might be what makes the decision for you.

I am runinng short shots also. I got them brand new at a swap met for $160 so I could not pass them over. I am not really big on them though. I am thinking about swapping mine also.

You know what kind you are considering?

I like how the SS's look and have a brand new set of Big City Thunder baffles I've yet to install......... but was talking to the local V Twin Guru today and he says no matter what I do with these pipes installed I'm going to be chasing lost power.

He recomended the Sampsons but I just dont know.
I mentioned a Thunderheader and he said they are only designed for bikes in the 80" range which I have a hard time believing...........My guess is he just doesnt like them.

So I'm back to looking and want a pipe that will handle its job when I step up to 103 or the 107" kit I've really been looking at.

Anyway, I'm stumped

WOW! That pipe is SICK.

I would go this route if power is your concern, I personally don't care for the TH, many love them though.

Or I can sell you my Rinehart so I can get myself the LSR!
