.........I've got the new rear light mounted on my Dyna along with the new turn signal mounts, which I made to match the front ones that I turned out a few weeks ago. I'd hoped to get it finished before now, but I came down with the Flu last week and not done much over the the last few days - except hurt a lot (my joints have been really sore) watch TV, O/D on painkilling pills.......and sleep, done a lot of that.
Got bored this afternoon though - must be on the mend I guess- and ended up in the workshop having a fettle with the Harley. I got the wiring sorted, and a made up a licence plate holder to mount the new (slightly smaller) plate to. I'm quite pleased with the way it looks now. Truth to be told I'm just glad to be rid of that licence plate that was sticking up above the rear light - it looked horrible. Next job will be to sort out the seat, not sure what to do with it really, may go single but Mrs. Derv likes coming out the bike now and then so I'll have to keep the old one - ugly as it is! There may be plans to buy a Triumph ST Sprint later in the year - to keep as well as the Harley so if that happens it won't matter what I do to it!
"Next job will more than likely be to do something about the seat - not sure what that will be yet, maybe a single one."
I think I would be be thinking more of chopping down that licence plate....
Clean bike, nice job on mods
Thanks, but unfortunately, the plates are a legal requirement, just as yours are in the 'States. We're just unlucky that ours are so ugly! That plate on my bike is actually smaller than the legal size by 1" all round. You have to understand that the police here in the UK have a bit of a downer on bikers in general, with small plates and loud exhausts being the two main things they will pull you for without fail! I'm going to have an interesting summer's riding on the Harley.........it has loud pipes and a small licence plate.
