Need a little help here. I've got a '10 Fat Bob, Stage 1. So I have the SE Slip-ons with the "Blunt Revolver" end treatments that they put on the Fat Bob's. I want them a bit louder but, more importantly, just a better sound. I really like how the BCT baffles sound and they would be perfect because I like the current look of my pipes.
So my question is...has anyone put the BCT baffles in these pipes? I know a modification to the baffles is necessary for Dyna's so I'm wondering about that and also whether or not the end treatments affect baffle replacements.
I had cycle shack baffles in my 09 lowrider w/ screamin eagle pipes. You can get them through drag specialties. They were a lot cheaper than the BCT baffles and were a direct bolt in, but that was just w/ the regular slip ons. I don't know anything about the tips on the end of your mufflers.
The new baffles definitely made the bike a lot louder. I ended up taking them back out and packing the baffles with insulation. It made for a really nice deep sound but it all blew out pretty quick.
I've heard nothing but good things about BCT, but when I had SE slip on I didn't want to pony up for new baffles, so I just knocked out the ones that were in there, cut em in half, de-burred em, and they sounded pretty good. Not too loud, but deep.
