Cut baffles?

Cut baffles?
I'd like just a little more sound out of my Screaming Eagle II slip ons.
I am running a SE a/c and a pc3. Somebody told me it probably wouldnt hurt to take the baffles out ,, cut them about in half,, and re-install. Thoughts?
Also anybody ever done this. I think they are riveted in,,, so just take off the pipes ,, drill out the rivet and they should basically just slide out? Or am i dreaming?
