Whatever you say, man. If i didn't know for a fact that people are using those dampers on motorcycles, I wouldn't have mentioned them. I don't give two ***** if you use one or not, I'm not making any profit here. Like I said, do whatever you're comfortable with.

That isn't a Daytona steering damper in that picture?
I have used a McMaster-carr damper on a customers CB750 cafe racer i built... did not even know they made them till he brought me one to install.... just got another one this weekend for my street fighter build, it is laying on the table, fully adjustable (is used) but still works great, i am stoked to have it. if you ride your bike hard and really lean your turns, they are a must! i know some guys that will not ride a bike without one. my goal this summer is to put one on every bike i own... Soon as the cafe comes back from the tuner it is getting a McMaster damper.... the Harley is getting a bit of a upgraded unit though but the clamps are on the way from the link that was posted on page 1.
Well guys I found a 49mm fork clamp at http://www.howardscustoms.com/ .
They are not listed on the website. I called and spoke with the owner. Very nice guy who set me up with a steering damper kit and the 49 mm clamp. So I guess I'm all set. Thanks for all your help fellas!
The DBI stabilizers are GARBAGE, don't waste your time or money. Mine started leaking within a week then got a replacement and that gave out within a month.
This is what I run now and what you're looking for, comes with everything you need to bolt up.
