2 years and about 12k miles on my Jakyl 2" version. No problems at all. Sometimes it amazes me the stories you get told at the dealer.

Come to think of it, it really shouldn't amaze me at all!

Thats pretty much what I figured, but being a college student and on a budget, the possibility of having to drop some big $$ turned me off of it. You guys just made my decision on the 2". Here I thought I was done with mods and just waiting for the weather to turn around, but after 20+ mods this winter, whats one more Jackyl, I'll be talking to you soon!

I got my lift kit off of ebay so I don't know who made it but when I put it on I had a gap between the mounting tabs of the tank and the lift bracket. I just put washers in to fill the gap and no problem.
Maybe if some one had a big gap and forced the tanks tabs in they might crack. Just check the fit before tightening things down.

It won't change your gas mileage, but it will change the gas gauge accuracy. Mine actually improved the accuracy.

I HOPE you mean miles per tank is decreased and not miles per gallon...

I have the 3" lift and haven't noticed a decrease in miles per tank before normal fill ups.
