Got the bike up on the lift and been pecking away at it before work, got the tank lift on cpl days ago and went ahead today and removed the tank so i can run my amp and speaker wiring under the tank and get the tank cleaned up really good. Tomorrow the front and back rims come off new tire in the back and new rotors and brakes front and back. While i have all that off going to get the bike washed down and cleaned up in all those places you cant get to like under the fenders and frame areas etc and the rockers etc. Ill keep pics coming and if anyone wants any pick of a certian area let me know here are the pics for the day. Oh and just a note for all the guys that have thought about a tank bra look close at my tank and you will see how much dirt and debris collects under a console and the leather that comes down from the console one reason i would never consider a tank bra.
where i have the tank lift bracket at now i can do full lock position and everything clears i did have to give my steel brake line a little tweak to keep it and the hose from rubbign the tank but that was it.
Worked some more today pulled both wheels and cleaned good up under the fenders and on the swing arm polished the chrome on the rocker box's and moved all my wiring for my speaker system and my amp to under the seat and ran the wiring down the tank. Many more pics in the photo bucket folder i put in my first post and here are a cpl.
where i mounted my amp on the back of the battery box and ran my speaker wiring down the frame under the tank.
going back out in the morning to polish all the chrome and tins and swap the tires brakes and brake fluid i went ahead today and picked up a new tire for the front so everything will be done while its all apart the front one was questionable and could have stayed on but the back was a racing slick.
i wish mine was it was 40 out today and i would have went for a ride figures put it on the lift and take it apart and the temps out side double and the sun comes out.
