I agree with the guy who says , windshields suck , saddle bags suck , tool rolls suck and so do engine bars. ..... Not having a dig at anybody's bike though ...... you do what you wanna do.
But bikes dressed up like that imo - dont ask why just remind me of Old People!
I have all of those things that suck on my bike, I guess I really must suck, but I like them.
I have things that apparently suck on my bike as well according to ole H-Phoenix. These people do have an opinion and thank goodness its only that.
Maybe it sucks NOT to have a windshield, forwards, bags etc... What a shame it is to have all those labels. When I had my Sporty some one asked me "aint that a girls bike?" and when I had my metric crusers my favorite was.. "is that a Harley?" now my Dyna sucks because it has forward controls. I wonder if my 14" apes suck because they should be 16" or drag bars? Maybe having tires on my bike sucks as well...
Ok enough rambling.
I never liked engine guards but I did have them on last bike. I actually liked them after a while. I fell in deep love with them when I forgot to put my stand down in driveway once It turned out to be the best 150 I ever spent. It would have really SUCKED if I had to replace my tank.
I wish that I would have had one on my Street Bob when I layed it down due to some gravel last November. It would have saved my ankle (fracture) and the dent in my tank $2k+ for replacement. Thank you insurance.

Bobber Jay, Old People?, well older than 20 perhaps.
Believe me the older you get the more consern you have for safety and comfort. Why dont you just take your shocks of as well and really tough it.
Then go for a 1,000 mile road trip, and tell me how much a windshield and storage space 'sucks'.
But it really doesnt matter if you think my bike 'sucks'
I'd bet you think your bike is 'sick'. Go figure?
My there is a testy bunch on this thread......So I'll just admit right off I'm one of those O.F.'s that just happens to like Engine Guards and stuff like that on my Super Glide. I too make the long haul rides in comfort....etc. hardly ever even notice the Engine Guards....except when I want to change my foot and leg position on those 300 mile + days.
guys, stop wining...on every thread someone post about ness fairings/tall t-bars/outlaw style dynas, someone has to chime in on how gay or stupid they look!...those that chime in are the same guys that have engine guards, windshields, saddlebags etc...If ya'll don't like hearing that your style in not approved of by everyone, stop stating your disapproval of other peoples styles as well... Kinda tit for tat I think...Although it does seem that owners of a more outlaw style dyna don't seem to get so defensive about your opinions on the matter. Anyways those that took phoenix's opinion and others with a who cares what you think attitude... good job.
