Hope everything turns out ok. If I were you I'd call my insurance company anyway and report it, give them a copy of the police report. Just in case, you might feel something later on from your foot. Just a thought.

I wear a FF, have V&H longshots. I don't know if I'd hear anything even without them (thinking of sitting in a car with the windows down, I don't think I hear a car pulling up next to me at a stop). ... but SEE it? I have mirrors, I look around when I am stopped. I want to know what's going on around me and what my options are. if a vehicle was getting so close to me it could run over my foot, I'd certainly want to do something to change that.
