That's nuts!
Nice to hear it wasn't worse. It's hard to believe he got close enough to run over a foot and not hit any part of the bike.

After thinking about it, I came up with a scenario that might explain it...

Thanks for the replies. Woke up this morning and seems like everything's cool. Foot feels fine.

It was pretty surreal. A couple of inches to the left and could have been a much different story.

Man that has got to suck. I think I would have wrapped that guy in the head with a ratchet, not that I make it point to have one in my pocket on rides. lol How on earth did he get so close to you that he hit your foot or do you just have abby normal long legs.

Thanks for the clever post.

The line of traffic was caused by a "work zone" not the "twilight zone". I was positioned to the left of center of my lane in order to see the flag man standing on the double yellow line directing traffic, when the truck coasted over my foot and stopped right next to me. He was half in my lane and half on the shoulder.

I hope your super bat senses keep you safe from even the most unexpected problems.

Were you not centered in the lane? Or were you on the side of the lane. Don't make sense to me.

Was typing when the above post was posted.

Hadn't considered a work zone. Construction season hasn't started here yet, so it wasn't on my mind. I was thinking you were just sitting at a normal intersection. I can see getting close in a work zone. There are times here where you end up doing 50 mph inches from the vehicle in the next lane.

I hope your super bat senses keep you safe from even the most unexpected problems.
I have werewolf senses... which I suppose would just be a good sense of smell. It doesn't offer much help with moving vehicles. The wind would have to be just right for me to smell a vehicle approaching from behind me. As such, I have to stick with the standard issue Mark 1 Eyeball and hearing.
