I can't help with mounting tips. I will say, those bars look absolutely bad *** with that fairing. I don't know that I've seen that combination before, but I LIKE IT!

Other than looking cool (yes it looks damned cool) what purpose does such a small fairing serve?

Different fairing, different bike, but I made two side brackets that went from the upper fork tree to the fairing, and another from the brake line bolt under the lower tree to the bottom of the fairing. Made them out of 1/8" thick universal chrome muffler straps. Very rigid setup. Used stainless hardware and rubber washers. I know this won't exactly work on your bike, but maybe you'll get an idea or two from it.

Side bracket

Bottom bracket (I later added rubber washers here, too)

Finished product

As per LastSaint he uses HD quick releases and bolts them on with a rubber tube slipped over the bolt as a spacer/shock absorber...........

If I payed attention that is
