I hope this works out!!! I don't much like ordering things I cant touch beforehand.
My bike is the cobalt blue streetbob and I ordered the grey faux ostrich seat.
Strange thing is, they said the band around the outside of the seat would be black still and the sitting part of the seat is the grey color. So in actuality, it will be a two toned seat.
I'll post pics when i get the seat, they said it would be a few weeks before I got it.
I was going to get the seat because I love the look of it, but then I called Corbin. I started talking to the sales rep and asked her about it and she said that it is definately a short hop seat. She said it's great for in-town and other short rides, but go more than 100 miles in a go on it and she said you'd definately feel it. That sleek low profile look is because it's very minimal foam in the seat. Now I'm compleately unsure what to get. There is a point to function over form though...much as it pains me to admit it.
I would of warned you if I could have. I'm still shocked that I was able to get that candid of an answer from the sales person. I guess it just shows if you ask the right questions... But just think how much cooler you're gonna look than me on my bike with my big ol' stock seat. Maybe if you call them back you'll find they haven't started work on your seat or shipped it out and maybe they can ship you something different. I wish I was military so I could get the discount. I'm toying with the idea of the classic solo, but I really don't like the stiching on the seat....but I keep hearing how comfortable they are.
I have one for the sporty. It is the coolest looking seat. I can't get more than 60-70 miles before I am sore, though. But I have heard better reports once it is broken in really well. I got a second bike around the time I got the seat, so I can't say I ride alot with it.
