I've been thinking about the 30t.............hwy speeds say 75-80 in 5th is the sweet spot...........6th has no snap
The 30t puts your sixth gear where your 5th gear is as far as the sweet spot is when using on the 06 & up! Killer 6th gear! I still think the 6 speed sucks ***** though, cause now I got a killer final ratio but compared to the 5 speed guys I'm just shifting more, lol! A real overdrive would be the sh**!
I think I just made up my mind on what exhaust to get. Now I just have to be aware of TH on Ebay.
BTW Awsome exhaust.
Could anyone tell me What RPM is in 6th geat at 70 with the 30t mod? I myself dont like the lug 6th gear gives me on the highway, and really cant find good gear when at 25 or 35 MPH. It allways seams like I need a in between gear.
Is it posible to get a front shot of that pipe to see how much room you have for forward controls. Kind of wondering how much room you have for your feet and if it is too close for comfort if you have forward controls.
Okay I just wanted to show y'all how we do it around here thought you guys might enjoy seeing it a little different than everyone else does it. So the Thunderheader is shortened 5 inches and cut and twisted so the head pipes are side by side rather than on top of one another which helps to keep from scraping the ground on sharp corners. The risers are custom fabricated out of aluminum and can be made in any rise we want I use 14 inchers and that brings me to the headlight mount and fairing mount. When you use such big a$$ risers like alot of us do well it looks kinda funny if you mount your headlight and fairing using the stock mounts that come with the Fairing and the headlight bracket that is available from ness. It leaves your risers sticking way the hell up out of the top of your fairing so this brings your fairing and headlight up to match up with whatever size risers you are using. Anyways just thought y'all would enjoy seeing how we do it 'round here.
P.S my fairing is being painted but I'll show a finished product pic of my homies bike to show you how it looks finished. He also has everything I have only he has 11 inch risers and his thunderheader was not twisted cuz his is the older EVO Dyna which mounts differently notice how his is angled up which looks killer as well. Enjoy, Jobo
Awesome. I'm new to the board, so I have two questions. Is the guy still doing the custom work on Thunderheaders? And to both Venturaoutfit and Sickwithit, what bars do you use with your risers? 4" pullback? About how wide? Thanks guys.
Your ride looks kick ***!!!! I would have a little trouble riding a setup like that because the speedo and tech would make it so I can't see whats in front of me.
This thread makes me feel better about having to see one about 18in apes and a hand shifter on a dyna. Any new updates ventura? That t-header mod is LEGIT!
I've known Ed perry for a long time, since i was a kid actually, he narrowed a rear end for my model A coupe when i was 14 too. true fabricator, stand up guy.
on the other Note, your bike rules Ventura! whats the paint look like now?
