I get off my seat too, but I don't see how a FB has superior steering geometry. SGC has less trail compared to the FB. What you may be feeling is the gyroscopic effects of the front wheel. I do agree about the brakes, but when I'm in the twisties, I'm using engine braking before I'm hard on the brakes. Plus a good set of pads will help on either bike.

i considered a super glide, however since the fat bob was introduced i have been drawn to it. the fat front tire makes a big difference with handling as well as the rake. the dual front brakes are a big plus. you sit in the bike, not on it. i added a few accessories....dyna pillow look seat which is very comfortable and follows the look of the bike better than any other 2 up seat i have looked at. windvest windshield which i feel is a far better choice than the bulky harley windshield offered for fat bob. i enjoy every ride on my 2009 fat bob.

At first look, it would appear the dual front disc brake is overkill. I can't imagine where the single disc would not be adequate. Also seems with that kind of braking power, front wheel lockup would be more likely and dangerous. As for the question of brake fade in repeated uses, has anyone had this problem? Even on multiple hills/twistys, I agree with JimmysFXDC, you're going to use engine braking more than front brake.

I have to say FXDF, the only drawback is if you ride 2 up a lot the FBob rear seat sucks, I replaced mine for the ole lady, set of Ricors and you cant beat it, I love that bike with a passion.
My 2nd choice would be Wide Glide, with that rake it is an easy handling ride.

I don't expect any 2 up riding. The little lady won't ride (good for me), and I can't see dragging a fender fluff except for a short "demo" ride.

But you don't consider the positive effect of the shorter wheelbase of the Fat Bob and the larger front tire contact patch, higher seat height, higher ground clearance, tiny more available lean angle.... and my comparison is with both bikes configured with mid controls...... and most importantly equally skilled riders.
All said, either bike will be a blast to own and ride (but still, the SGC will suffer brake fade far sooner on a long, steep, aggressively ridden downhill)
