2" stretch one piece tank
I thought lets by a 2" stretch because they fit so nice around my seat. NOT !!! :-( . Put it on the frame put my seat back and had a big gap between the seat and the tank. Do more people have this problem with 2" stretch tanks.
Had to make an additional steel piece and tig welded it in. Now it looks much nicer, next step seal the inside of the tank, then bring it to the painter. Still deciding to take satin black or the normal glossy standard black. I am also in the proces of installing a 16" ape.

Sucks it didn't fit better off the shelf, but at least you've got the skills to remedy the situation ....
I'm sure everyone will be interested in seeing how it turns out ....

Ape installed, wires throw ape ok, everything functions. New throttle, cutch cable and brake line installed
After getting my tank and fenders back from the painter, I put the fenders back last thursday, connected the last wires of the back fender.
Today after some problems with the petcock (couldn't get the inner filter out, stuck in the tank but after a good pull it came out) I installed the tank connected the hoses, put in some gas and bike runs. Till now no leaks
Hopefully have some good weather tomorrow, it rains a lot the last days, so I can have a test drive. As soon I have some pictures I will post them.
