Those of you runnning aftermarket bars, apes or drags, 1 1/4 inch, where did ya get em? Im on the fence on which way to go, my Nightster had drags, and I love the look and feel, but I think the WG needs apes. Im not lookin to go huge, probably 14" or less, but everywhere I look for apes or drags in 1 1/4 inch they are out of this world expensive just for the bars themselves. Drags start around $80 and apes around $150. Where'd you guys go for yours, and post pics of either setup if ya'd be so kind!
Thanks in advance!
i just ordered a set of 1" bars from the V-Twin catalog. I like the look of the flanders/FL/flattrack bars style bars and V-Twin has some riser bars that mount this type on top of various lengths of pull-back risers. I picked the 9" riser cuz the measurements are most like the stock mini apes on the WG. 29" inch width tip to tip (31" for stock WG) and let you use the stock cables and brake hose.
11" inch rise to grip tip (same as WG)
7" inch rise to center (of the attached riser)
10" inch pullback (8" for WG mini ape)
SKU 25-2154-VT
easiest to view them on www.debrixcycle.com just type in the PN in the search box
I went with pull back raisers and drag bars on my 09 sb...i had to change the top tripple tree but im not a ape fan so i didnt mind...my bar and raiser setup cost me 80.00 total....and i love it
