Thanks D. Actually, I took the Mrs on her 1st real ride this past weekend, 515 miles. She really did enjoy herself and that makes things all the better. Of course her *** was pretty sore but I'm looking to buy a Sundowner Seat for future rides.
I'd like to adress the wife issue. My wife has given me her blessing on FOUR new Harleys in the last 4 months!!! She also gave me her blessing on a 2002 Z06 Corvette!. I didn't have to get her blessings, I just did. I bought this stuff with my investments, none of the money came from the monthly budget (except the Insurance), but I still wanted her blessings. I take my marriage seriously , as a partnership. Most of us give our wives our paycheck and she handles the monthly bills. Don't you think she would know wheter or not the budget can take a 15,000.00 to 25,000.00 hit?
I don't consider it unmanly to get your wife's blessing on budget issues. I think a real man is a good provider, a good father, a good husband. A real man is the head ofhis family. You can't be those things as well if you are bankrupt.
I commend the poster that got the blessings of his wife. He will proably still have her and a wonderful family in 10 years. Let's face it when we are riding our 2017 Harleys to the ball field to watch our 10 year old play little league, that 2007 SE Dyna won't even be a memory.
Plus the checkbook isn't the only thing she manages, she is the after hours entertainment director. .
I have heard this comment more than once in these forums. "my wife already gave me the approval" or something to that effect. Please tell me this is a joke. You have to get permission to buy your bike of choice?
TimmerK.. Good to hear things are workin' out... as for the above quote, put the shoe on the other foot... You come home and find every piece of furniture gone, cuz, the Lil Lady just bought $25-30K of new stuff to be delivered tomorrow... Or bought a new sports car....with out talkin' to you about it at all.... I know I'd be more than a little pissed....LOL.. I'm not ***** whipped... my wife is my partner we communicate in everything we do... (well almost everything..LOL) she did try to pull a surprize on me (the story is in another post) worked a deal with a HD dealer to trade my '06 FXDI for an "06 Street Glide, I wasn't happy with my Super Glide and I liked the Street Glide... That was cool tho...
lowriderfxr... My feelings EXACTLY... Ya beat me to the punch...LOL.. Revised the above I guess I am PW.... There's worse things to be...

you guys are soft. What ever happened to being the man of the house? I hear this more and more now a days about asking the wifey about this and that. My relationship is fine and I did not ask my wife if she minded if I bought a bike. I just told her, I'm buying a new Harley. Now I'm not saying that some of you guys are whipped, but handing your paycheck over to your wife? C'mon guys! What does she give you back to party with? What would your wife say if you went out with the guys and blew a hundred bucks? Do you guys even go out? Do you ask your wife if she minds if you go out for a ride on the bike? I went out with some friends on friday came in at 3 am, how many of you guys can do that and have your wife be fine with that? You see women are smart....in most marriages they let the man think they wear the pants, but in reality they wear the pants and they know it. Didn't happen in my Dads house and it won't in mine. mmmmmmm just my .02
