Rent one . make sure you like it.
If you can , keep your dyna also.
I went thru: Street Glide, CVO FB, and CVO RG.
But all along, I had kept my first love, Black Street bob.
Nothing rides like a dyna, but in 2 up the king is better.
Thank you all for the input I truly appreciate it.
I really hadn't even thought about renting....
I guess that will definitely be my first step, even though I still can't see me getting rid of the dyna.
your lucky I've pointed out street glides and my wife thinks they are the ugliest thing ever...she hates the big fairings and windshields... she loves the nightster though... and thinks I was stupid for painting my bike gloss black instead of flat black ...(changing to flat as we speak).
If you end up pursuing a new(er) bike and like the Street Glide, you might find a dealer with Police Electra Glides. The one by me seems to have a steady supply and I don't see much price diff. between the police Road Kings and Electra Glides. It would be cheaper in the long run to convert the Electra Glide into a Street Glide.
Just to keep everyone up to date...
I ended up keeping the fxdxt, I couldn't swing having them both at the moment so I'm keeping my Dyna!
I'll just get a tourer later.
Thanks for all the input,
Mike

Well,
I took the wife into the dealership with me the other night...
I needed a gasket and she walks in and says to me "You should buy this one" pointing at a Road King Classic.
Now if it were possible I would keep the FXDXT and buy the RKC, unfortunately that isn't the case...
I love my T-Sport and am not really ready to part with it, but I also would like a bigger bike (preferably the Streetglide)...
I have found a New 2010 RoadKing police model with the 103" motor for $15,995 and that is quite a tempting price, I could easily add the fairing and pretty much have a "streetglide"
anyway, just wanting to get some opinions.
Thanks,
Mike
haha....that is what women are good for. I am the same way. If my wife even hints at a suggestion that I should get "whatever" suddenly my mind thinks that direction and I start putting it all together in my head. However, if she was thinking clearly she would ask you to get the Electra Glide with the huge seat and trunk. (for her)
