ABM Lowering Kit Bolts?
I purchased and installed an ABM 1" lowering kit for my wifes "brand spankin' new" Sportster 1200 Custom. However, the rear 2" bolt that goes through the lower shock only goes half way through the lowering block. So it's threaded in 1/2" and there is still 1/2" remaining. It's a 2" bolt; a 2.5" bolt would fit perfectly. Does anybody know if this is a correct installation or should I go purchase a couple 2.5" bolts? And if i purchase bolts, could I use stainless steel because I cannot find the "zinz coated" that came with the kit. (I have not had good luck with S.S. bolts... they seem soft... strip too easily.)
